I used to watch financial YouTube channels to stay informed about the stock market. I’m not a pro investor, but I enjoy keeping up with the market and learning from the publishers. The problem was, every time I opened YouTube, I got lost in endless scrolling and sometimes even forgot why I opened it in the first place.
Even when I found videos from channels I regularly follow, I didn’t always enjoy the way the authors changed their narratives across multiple videos, or stretched the content just to make the video longer. Some repeated the same topic again and again — a waste of my valuable time. And of course, there were the ads.
Lately, I noticed many Telugu YouTube channels producing similar financial content. Should I watch each and every one of them? Definitely no time for that. That’s when I realized there’s a need for a platform that helps investors and finance enthusiasts stay informed without all the noise.
So, I built Stock Insights from Videos. This platform uses AI to analyze financial videos and extract the key points, so you get the essential information without spending hours watching entire videos. I’ve been running this locally for a while, and it’s already saved me a lot of watching time.
I’ve also seen other viewers pointing out the same issues, coming up with their own little hacks — like unfollowing channels or switching to new ones. Thinking about this, I decided to make the platform public, so more people can save time and get the insights that matter.
While I’m still working on some admin features that require more tokens and AI costs, here are the public features I’m making available now:

Financial YouTube channels and video platforms produce invaluable market commentary every day. Most investors don't have the time to watch hundreds of hours of video to find the few minutes that actually matter. Stock Insights from Videos is an attempt to bridge that gap. I envision this platform to establish grounding to the claims or sensations, show narration drift, remove the clutter and help investors and enthusiasts make better-informed decisions. And I also think neither this problem, nor the solution is limited to financial sector. I hope to expand this platform to other domains in the future. Finally, developing a community and a little ecosystem around this platform is on my cards.
